Today’s KYOM stitched together ideas:
If I let my depletion become normal, it won’t just make me tired, it’ll start to shrink my whole life!
I won’t simply need more rest. I’ll end up lowering my expectations of myself. I’ll stop wanting things. And, god forbid, I’ll then quietly start to accept less joy, less connection, less ambition — because it feels safer than hoping.
But this “exhaustion” is this afternoon’s “thing”. I need to remember this. It’s NOT complete loss of energy, it’s a signal to ease off… just briefly.
I’m not going to let it persuade me to live smaller in the name of coping. I’m not going to just soldier on blindly today, without spark. Because I refuse to just end up surviving the life I was really meant to inhabit.
So… I’m going to:
· Stop mistaking depletion for realism
· Restore my energy without forcing myself to “push through”
· Reclaim a life that feels sustainable — not just manageable
· Accept I WILL feel resourced again in due course

The Big Baboona has told me in no uncertain terms: Ease off girl, and refuse to exist permanently on your back foot. Just do what you can do today… tomorrow’s another day.
